Nexxus Iberia has closed the acquisition of a majority stake in Creaciones Marsanz. In this new stage, the company will boost its growth through internationalization, the reinforcement of its human team -by the end of 2023 it had 179 employees- and innovation through the launch of new products.

Grupo Marsanz manufactures a wide range of products including shopping carts, handling and logistics equipment, commercial shelving, entrance and exit devices, and checkout counters for major national and international retailers in its over 50,000 m2 of facilities.

THE DEAL

Nexxus Iberia acquires a majority stake. In this new phase, the company based in Abanilla (Murcia) will boost its growth through internationalization, mainly in European markets, and the development of new products and services.

La Margarita manufactures and processes condiments and spices in its more than 14,000 sqm of facilities, working with the leading companies in the sector. The company sells product and provides services mainly in Europe with a presence mainly in French-speaking countries and Spain.

In November 2022, Nexxus Iberia enters into partnership with the Mir Martos brothers. In this new phase, the company will expand the capacity of its facilities to continue growing internationally, opening new markets in Europe, Latin America and Asia, and will accelerate the development of new business lines such as a range of products for acoustic conditioning and another for hairdressing salons.

Founded in 2002 by brothers Ramón and Carles Mir and based in Avinyó (Barcelona), Mirplay is a brand of specialized furniture for educational centers, offices and barbershops. Founded in 2016, Chef Sam is a distribution, commercial agency and brand management company operating in high-growth verticals in the consumer goods industry with commercial presence in 11 countries across Europe and Latam. Chef Sam operates as a consumer products platform for the expansion (national and international) and development of third-party and incubated brands by providing, among others, distribution, consultancy, marketing, POS management and product development services. Nexxus Iberia completes the acquisition of Aerocamaras, the leading provider of training courses and services with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Nexxus Iberia Private Equity completed a capital increase to attain a significant minority stake in Solutex, the leading manufacturer of highly concentrated Omega 3 to support its international growth

THE COMPANY

Founded in 1995 by Dr. Fernando Moreno and Verónica Olaya based in Madrid, Solutex is one of the international leaders in the manufacturing of highly concentrated Omega 3 natural ingredients from fish and algae oils, which are mainly used for pharma and food supplement products. The Company is one of the leading players in the Spanish market with nearly 100 employees, and exports 80% of production globally, mainly to North America, Asia and Europe. Solutex registered sales of €23.5m in 2021.

Nexxus Iberia partners with the management team from a multinational company within the industry to acquire Mercurius and accelerate international growth by facilitating the access and use of cutting-edge radiotherapy technology to clinics and hospitals.

THE COMPANY

Founded in 1998, Mercurius specializes in providing radiotherapy and nuclear medicine services to oncology clinics and hospitals in the public and private sectors. It is the leading company in Portugal with more than 100 specialists, which positions it as one of the largest independent networks in Europe.

In September 2018 Nexxus and Capzanine Fund partered with the brothers Manuel and Jorge Fernández to support the growth of the company in Spain by opening new clinics, expanding the range of services offered and vertical integration within the value chain (centers operations and laboratories).

Founded in 2012, WM Clinics includes the following brands: Dorsia, the main group of medicine and aesthetic surgery in Spain, with more than 90 clinics in the country; Eva Fertility, fertility branch of the group; Origin, psychology services; and The Test, male sexuality services.

In december 2019 Nexxus partners with the founders and directors of 24.7, Ivo, Gordon and Gloria with the aim of consolidating the leadership of the company in the Iberian Peninsula and promoting its internationalization.

Founded in 2004, 24.7 is the leading service company in Spain in the production of advertising spots for large campaigns for leading international brands. The company offers a global coordination service for audiovisual productions, from the identification and management of locations, talent selection, and the recording of scenes. 24.7 has the most extensive network of offices in Iberia, with presence in Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and Lisbon. Outside the Iberian Peninsula, it operates locally in Poland. In 2019, 24.7 received the Business of the Year Award at the European Business Awards.

It has a national network that serves more than 15,000 assets and offers electronic and traditional anti-occupancy doors as well as high security, electronic locks, alarms and other security and access control products.

In February 2020, Nexxus Iberia completed a capital increase in Maresa Logística to support its partners in a growth project through acquisitions.

THE COMPANY

Maresa Logística is a group specialized in groupage services to the Canary and Balearic Islands, controlled temperature distribution and national and international forwarding. It has 250 professionals, 52,000 sqm of logistics capacity in the main industrial hubs of the country and manages more than 300 vehicles.

In February 2020 Nexxus, together with a group of investors from the industry, partnered with Eliseo and Paula, father (founder) and daughter (director) to help the company consolidate its innovation leadership position in Spain, improve patient service as an essential business element, expanding the business internationally and reinforcing the firm commitment to digitizing the business.

THE COMPANY

Founded in 2000, it provides consulting services in oncology treatments to insurance companies and hospital groups. It has more than 100 oncologists and professionals serving in 19 provinces. It also has its own service centers in Cordoba and Jaen.
