Nexxus Iberia has acquired a majority stake in Contenur, a Spanish leader in the manufacturing and maintenance of urban waste collection containers. This investment, made through our second fund Nexxus Iberia Private Equity Fund II, reinforces our commitment to sustainable growth and innovation in the sector.
Since its founding in 1984, Contenur has played a crucial role in containerization in Spain, positioning itself as a national leader and the third largest in Europe. With a presence in more than 50 countries and production plants in Spain, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Brazil, Contenur generated over 170 million euros in revenue last year. The company stands out for its focus on sustainability, integrating recycled materials into its value chain and employing sustainable production methods.
This strategic partnership will not only allow Contenur to accelerate its expansion plans and improve its product offerings, but it also strengthens our commitment to sustainable practices and the energy transition.
